wine director
Being born and raised in San Francisco gave Maxwell ample opportunities to experience the effect that great service can have on great food enjoyed with friends. Maxwell has always had a keen appreciation of service and aesthetics in food which was further enhanced by his studies in Japanese language and world travel. His decision to work professionally with wine was inspired by the pleasure of enjoying good food, wine and discourse with friends.

Before joining Alexander's Steakhouse, Maxwell was the Sommelier at The Village Pub, a one Michelin Star restaurant, in Woodside and prior to that he was the Sommelier at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Half Moon Bay. Maxwell is a Certified Sommelier by the American chapter of the Court of Master Sommeliers.

Maxwell's interests include adventure, travel and the exotic. He spends his free time riding his Aprilia Motorcycle, shooting skeet and dining out (not all at the same time).

Maxwell always has fun in mind when he plans the wine dinners at Alexander's Steakhouse and he loves to share his passion and knowledge of wine with guests. Maxwell is eager to get acquainted with the Alexander's Steakhouse guests and he is excited about introducing you to delicious wines, from the legendary to the arcane.
